Clay • White Paper Clay, Earthenware/Midfire

Blackwattle Paper Clay, Earthenware to Midfire.

This clay is based on a white earthenware clay with the addition of cellulose fibres to the clay make it much stronger and more forgiving than normal clay.

It's extremely strong in the unfired state, also making it suitable for use as an air drying clay. For air drying clay, simply apply a sealant or paint the dry artworks.

Good for throwing and handbuilding.

Bisque 05 + (1050oC).

Glaze 1080-1200oC.

(4-6% shrinkage). Good glaze fit. Compatible with various commercial clear glazes.

Can be fired to high fire E/W or Mid Fire (1200) temps.
